i'm james from lindo guitars and this is the lindo neptune - probably our most radically-designed acoustic guitar to-date we're going to tell you a bit of information about this guitar and we'll start at the top with the custom-designed lindo headstock you can also see the lindo logo which is aluminium to the rear, lindo-branded black, smooth-action machine heads we'll move down to the neck - the neck is mahogany - a c-shaped neck.
it has an a-class rosewood fretboard and it also has the dot inlays on the fretboard now, we'll move down to the body - as you can see the whole thing is matte black; back, sides, top... the back of the neck is painted matte black and we've gone for a minimalist approach with this one. you'll see the sharp cutaway which gives you great access to the higher register of notes up here it has a spruce top with acacia wood back and sides now you may also notice the soundhole is not in the conventional place that you'd expect to see it and there's a huge amount of science behind placing the soundhole here
and i won't bore you with all the details, but briefly it basically means that the actual top there's more room for the strings to create the resonance and what you hear pushed out from the front actually comes from the top of the guitar not from the soundhole and by placing it hear, you're allowing more of that sound to resonate throughout the top it also gives the player more of an opportunity to hear more clarity of the guitar because here it is closer to your ears which is a really great feature but it also looks fantastic
playability-wise, this a really great guitar for all the usual standard open chords that you would expect from an acoustic guitar and we'll give you a few basic chords just so you can hear it it's also great for finger-picking styles, again i'll just play you a basic little bit of a finger-picking pattern just so you get an idea. once again, that sustain is pretty awesome! again, the action of this guitar will allow you to play some lovely lead work, not that i'm the best lead player in the world but it sounds great - you get really crystal clear notes
when you play some lead work with a plectrum. so, there you go - i'm sure you can hear the clarity that i was talking about on individual notes, which is great! we'll move on to bit more technical spec about what this comes included with it's an electro-acoustic so you have the piezoelectric under-saddle pickup which is wired into the f-4t preamp with the usual bass, middle, treble, presence and master volume control - it also has the built-in tuner with the lcd screen so you can see exactly what you are doing when you're trying to tune, this is a great feature for live work - it also mutes the output
so the audience don't have to hear you tune. talking about outputs spin it over and you have the standard guitar jack 3-pin xlr balanced xlr and also the 9-volt battery is insterted here which powers the tuner. so there you go, the lindo neptune and coming up we've got a track using this guitar so it gives you a better idea of how it sounds in production. i've played you a few basics but nothing special, hope you get a good idea of how it sounds if you want to try it at home, you can buy it and take advantage of our 14-day money-back guarantee. enjoy!
